LeanBox is a convenient, grab and go vending machine for your workplace.

This vending machine from one of the newest startups offers healthy, fresh food items (many of which come from local startups themselves) available in under a minute. Leanbox makes use of Microsoft Surface as their point of sale device in all their vending machines.

LeanBox utilizes the Microsoft Surface tablet for their front facing point of sale.

Coakley explains that it gives the customer a nice, clean, easy checkout and gives them the full Windows backbone needed for their robust back end inventory system. Their software stack optimizes the classic Microsoft components – SQL, .NET and ASP.Net for a dependable consumer platform.
