I caught that too. He introduced 2 of the 4 dbacks as Pro-bowler so and so, skipped the third guy, and then said "future pro-bowler Peanut Tillman". That was pretty cool. Unfortunately, I was in and out of the game, and missed Peanut's fumble return.

I was hoping each player would do their own introductions and Tillman would say from "THE University of Louisiana".

For those who didn't see it, the Monday Night Football game between the Cardinals and the Bears was unbelievable! Arizona totally outplayed the Bears from start to (almost!) finish. But the Bears defense kept making plays in the 2nd half. Chicago had 6 (yes 6!) turnovers and NO offensive points (well, they did get a FG after the defense set them up) and still won! Da Bearz trailed 20-0 at the half and 23-3 with less than a minute in the 3rd quarter. The Bears forced a fumble and returned it for a TD just before the end of the quarter. In the 4th quarter, Brian Urlacher stripped the ball from Edgerrin James and Tillman picked it up and raced to the TD. Once again the Bears 'D' holds and forces a punt. Devin Hester runs it back for the go-ahead score. But Matt Leinart leads his team down to FG range for the game-winning score. However, the kicker misses just barely wide left. A Crazy game! Glad a former Ragin' Cajun played a prominent role! Way to geaux Peanut!

Chicago Bears cornerback Charles Tillman celebrates after Arizona Cardinals kicker Neil Rackers missed a field goal in the final seconds of a football game Monday, Oct. 16, 2006 in Glendale, Ariz. The Bears beat the Cardinals 24-23 to remain undefeated on the season.

Every Monday Night game this year has been done by one player introducing SOME (not all) of the team. (Kind of reminds me of when RB's introduced the O-line for Denver)

Each Monday has been the same....one player trying to be flashy and cool...using some DUMB nicknames and even a little ebonics to introduce players....I think it SUCKS!!

I don't like ESPN's way of doing this.....I prefer the abc way better. Growing up, I would never miss the introduction. Also, in games that I didn't care who won, I would pull for players from particular schools and keep an eye on them most of the game.

When MNF went from ABC to ESPN, the only thing that stayed with MNF was a football game and Hank Williams, JR. If you watch the intro to the NBC game, you'll notice that not only did Al and John change networks, the main director and Exec. Producer from the old MNF also changed to NBC. That is why the deal with each player saying their name and their school is seen on NBC now. I haven't watched the NBC broadcast with too fine-tooth of a comb, but, I don like the way they jumped back into the game. They have high-profile guys in the booth, they don't do a lot of "funny stuff" trying to be cute and pop, and theey have a pretty aesthetically pleasing graphics package.

Default Peanut had the name right.

Did anyone see Peanut Tillman introduce himself last night on NBC?

He used "The University of Louisiana".

Sorry Cajunproud. As you can see, I posted it late. I was givin' the ducks hell this weekend and was late into the office.

Did you like the little voice inflection he gave as he said it?

    I loved the inflection.

So when can I get a bowl of duck and sausage gumbo?

How about the baseball recruits? Should be several post season trips in a row.
