Opera has released the latest version of its desktop browser for Windows and Mac machines today, promising that its new ‘Aura’ hardware acceleration provides “smoother, snappier_animations_with a more responsive feel”. The company’s new Aura technology isn’t actually present in the Mac build of Opera 21, but the same effects are achieved using Apple’s core animation features. As well as making the whole thing feel a bit quicker and smoother, Opera 21 also gives users the option of displaying the full URL in the address field, rather than a truncated version showing the domain and a badge indicating site security.
