    Should I not go to Cajun Walk on the chance I'll be standing somewhere when a smoker walks up and stands next to me?

    If I'm sitting at a park bench and somebody sits down next to me and lights up, is it my responsibility to move?

    I don't have a problem with designated smoking areas.

    But the smokers on Jefferson Street last week, were just as much a pain in the butt as those little knuckleheads with their skateboards or the hipsters and their pedicabs.

    I think I saw it and I'm actually the blind man.

    For the record, I think smoking cigarettes or poles (are any other eastern European ethnicity) should be done in designated areas.

    Too funny! I'll take your word for it. San Fran is one of the great city's of the world...sorry your experience was a let down. I have not been since the late 90's. Loved it though!

    Nawww, beautiful place..absolutely gorgeous.. ____ed up laws in a ____ed up state on the verge of bankruptcy. Been there twice in the last 3 years. I'll go back but its strictly touch down or wheels up... either on my way to or from Napa or Monterey.

    LOL!! When the clown next to me is crushing his blunt, no one cares.. I light that stogie up and almost have to punch some clown because he's offended by one and not the other. :}

    And while I think both should be done in designated areas, smoking stogies in public doesn't perpetuate a myth.

    Smoking Lithuanians does.

    I am assuming smoking a Cuban or Dominican will leave a better taste in my mouth than a Lithuanian??... especially if I am enjoying them with a Scot(ch)?

    this is such a dumb argument...
    smoking is bad for everyone...
    pollutes their own body and the ones in close proximity of a smoker...
    i have no sympathy for smokers...
    no one forced anyone to start smoking...its a choice smokers took upon themselves.

    bye bye smoking on campus (and would love all bars to be non-smoking)

    I don't smoke, but isn't it wonderful to have smoking free campus and have many of the same people pushing to legalize blunt and smoke in public! Genius!
