Lack of thong reference potential = dissatisfication with RPI.

You SOOOOOOO have to keep on top of things around here to even come close to having a clue.

And even then my literal blindness is figurative.

Both USM and stAte are on the verge of the top 50 RPI. What a huge bonus it would be to win the series against stAte and have them give us a better record vs. the top 50 on our resume...

So, do we want to sweep state or "let" them win one to help them im their quest reach the top 50? I'll take "yes" as an answer. Would one win make enough of a difference in helping them reach the top 50 threshold to offset our drop in RPI?

    Never. Win first.

    Brian,

Do we want ULM to beat Western Kentucky this weekend since we play them 6 times this year (unless mother nature intervenes on our behalf)? Or, do we want WKU to win in their quest to remain in the Top 100?

It never benefits you're RPI to lose a game

I believe he was questioning whether or not the additional 2-1 record to our Top 50 RPI record would be worth the loss … if it gets ASU into the RPI Top 50. The answer is still no.

Yeah, I could have expounded some more on that, but it got the point across. Your RPI takes a hit to possibly put them in the top 50. I think the committee weighs your RPI more than record vs top ##, and with everyone crunched up together, any loss could drop us a few spots.

We want ULM to win. While record vs. RPI Top 100 has some importance, the improvement of the Cajuns' OWP (and SOS) is important on two fronts … 1) A better RPI 2) An improved SOS ranking, which will be evaluated as its own criterion.

    No doubt.
