Brian this brings up an interesting point. Does the committee look at the actual RPI 4-digit number? Or just the RPI Ranking? In other words, this could in fact be a year where a Top 8 Seed is rewarded to a team outside of the Top 10, merely because the actual 4-digit RPI number is so close in comparison across the Top 20.
Whereas in years past, if you'd try and make an argument for the #13 RPI team to be a National Seed, you'd have much more of a gap in the numbers than you do this year.
Amirite? Or amirite?
Cal Poly is at 17 in the RPI. Need to keep rooting against these guys for our hopes of a national seed.
First team to 40 wins. I wonder how many times it's happened before the month of May?
Now back to 12 in RPI
Unless Cal Poly finishes week with 4 road wins, we'll be the only top 20 teams with 40 or better. You are correct sir! Will look darn good! Given nobody else probably will have 40, 44 would look down right gaudy!
Just have to tighten up the pitching, giving up too many hits and just blessed we have not paid the price abet this past Saturday.
