You know when I first read this thread I thought the same exact thing. I think it would be pretty cool to watch it outside at the Tigue because it doesn't seem like it would ever be booked for anything besides a camp here and there. The only problem I see with that is if the weather was bad.

During March Madness they occasionally show some programs where their fans are packed into their home arenas watching their team play in the tourney on their own court big screen. I wonder how that is/was permissible?

The old Ice gators had done this in the dome for an away playoff game. They lost the video feed in the first period and we sat around listening to the radio call in the dome

Can the 3MM be funnelled (accounting manuver) as though it's a athletics expense. An easy 3MM to pad the athletic spending budget. That's what CUSA/MWC wants......so reroute the funding with the same dollars and give it to them.

There's no doubt in my mind, if legal, that with all of the hype surrounding this program we'd have some people flocking to the dome to watch the Cajuns beat Arkansas or Kansas St....This really needs to be looked at!

Once again, charge the price of a football ticket ($20'ish) per person, sell concessions, etc....for s_hits and giggles do a 50/50 raffle. This could be huge for the program(s). I wonder what the expenses are for one night at the dome. Can the revenue significantly outweigh the expenses, if so it NEEDS to be done.

Thanks Turbine for bringing this thread back up. Someone make it happen! I think we could put 5k or more in the dome....would be fun

I know the Ice Gators paid dearly per game in the dome. That's why it folded with the second owners. Even the ECHL said that the dome was charging too much. Other teams avg. aroung $4K/game and the Ice Gators was aroung $8K
