That is what I was going to say as well...kinda hard to do when it is not on TV or even being streamed online.

We are all just going to have to listen to the radio.....the nerve.

would it be legal per se if the communication department would use away games as an chance to give Broadcasting students the opportunity to gain some practical experience by traveling with the team, setting up a live feed and broadcasting the games back to say the cajundome for such an event? sounds like a perfect learning opportunity to me

I was wanting a webcast too. Seems like a no go. OwlTV sometimes does a webcast for FAU but because of confusion with CSS maybe picking up the game they decided not to. Now looks like no CSS either.

All we would really need is a Webcam view of the field synced up with Jay's broadcast. North Texas was able to do it there (Boca) last week, we could do it too.

(scroll down to owltv's explanation of NT Webcam, post #22)

If you wanna contact OWLtv this is their website

Why can't the cajundome pickup the away football games when there's no other event going on. For instance....we have a huge home opener in basketball Saturday. We need to get a crowd out there. If I'm in charge of the Cajundome, I would try and pick up the Cajun vs. Florida Atlantic game and play it on the new $5 million dollar jumbo. This will get people to the Dome to watch football and have a great early crowd for basketball. You can charge $8.00 for the basketball ticket and an additional $5 or so for the football game, serve concessions and beer throughout both and make a killing. I think we'd have a great turnout if the Cajundome looked into playing Cajun Football away games!!

Anyone have any stroke to get this done. I would pay $20.00 to watch the football game on the big jumbo!

Please give my your input, will this work? _
Irony is, that was discussed last night during the game.

Unfortunately it's a no go for this week because of all the reasons stated. But it might be a go for Troy next week.

Hmmm. I wonder if a few of us would use it as an excuse to tailgate?

Might carry over into basketball tailgating...

Although this game is not being televised over the web, other road games in the future will be. I believe the Troy game will be for instance. I don't know if we could get the webcast over the new scoreboard but I believe it is definitely something worth looking into. Of course, the CajunDome would have to be available. If feasible, we could also do this for significant games in other sports. The softball regional at Houston last year for example was webcast.

Jay, that is interesting that you mentioned the discussion of this possibility. The group of people I was with also were talking about this. It must be that all the great Cajun minds think alike.

Scotto that is a good idea but knowing how many dome foams you are going to drink you will not be able to afford the Troy trip. Sitting in the Dome for 6 hrs can get pretty expensive at $7.75 a pop. You drunk a**

Me and my friends were talking about Scotto the Genius last night. I love this board.

I'll be ok...I think the one to worry about is "cajuns67" because I saw him consume about 4 of the big dome foams before halftime of the exhibition game and then he was looking for someone to top him off for the walk to the car......wow!
