LOUISIANA La. – They’re a team that struggled for much of the early part of the season, started finding itself over the last four weeks, and needs to get rolling in Sun Belt Conference play heading toward the mid-point of the league season.

Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajun baseball squad? Nah, we’re talking about the Trojans of Arkansas-Little Rock, who invade Moore Field for a three-game Sun Belt series beginning tonight at 6:35 p.m.

The Trojans (19-12, 2-4 Sun Belt) had won seven in a row entering conference play, and took one game in each of their first two league series against two of the three teams (Florida International and New Mexico State) who right now stand atop the standings.

“They’ve played well,” said Cajun head coach Tony Robichaux. “They’ve got good coaches and they pitch according to a system that’s very sound. Our advantage is that we’re at home, and we have to use that advantage.”

The Cajuns (12-23, 4-5 Sun Belt) took two-of-three two weeks ago against Middle Tennessee in their only home league series this year, and took one win on the road in the series surrounding that one at Western Kentucky and New Mexico State.

And Louisiana's squad could easily have taken a Sunday win at NMSU, falling in an 8-7 finale in which a late rally was negated by a key eighth-inning error that allowed the eventual winning run to score.
