Hicks And Carter Combine To Shutout McNeese In Midweek Game

Seniors Matt Hicks and Ben Carter combined to throw a two-hit shutout on Tuesday night as the second-ranked Ragin' Cajuns baseball team defeated McNeese State 8-0 in front of a crowd of 4,033 at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field.

Great performance by both pitchers. Matt was originally only suppose to go 3 innings, but could increase time on the mound with a limited pitch count. It sure was great to see 4000+ on a Tuesday night. Hopefully we can hit 4000+ for all 3 games this weekend.

That's my plan. I am ashamed to say but this will be my first time to see this years team in person since they did not play in Houston this year and work has been crazy. Can't wait to get to the Tigue this weekend! Weather is looking perfect.
