Softball Set for Fall Season

  LAFAYETTE - Just months after their run to the Women’s College World Series, Louisiana’s Ragin’ Cajuns softball team is ready to take the field once again for a pair of fall tournaments.

The Cajuns begin the fall season on Saturday, Sept. 27 in Sugarland, Texas. UL will play three games over the course of the weekend against St. Mary’s, Houston and Texas Tech.

Over the weekend of Oct. 4-5, the Cajuns will face off against fellow WCWS participant Texas A&M, along with Stephen F. Austin, Texas State, Texas-San Antonio and Sam Houston State.

September 27-28 (Sugarland, Texas)

Saturday, Sept. 27

2:00 p.m. – Louisiana vs. St. Mary’s



Sunday, Sept. 28

9:30 a.m. – Louisiana vs. Houston

11:30 a.m. – Louisiana vs. Texas Tech



October 4-5 (Spring/Klein, Texas)

Saturday, Oct. 4

2:00 p.m. – Louisiana vs. Texas A&M

4:00 p.m. – Louisiana vs. Stephen F. Austin



Sunday, Oct. 5

9:00 a.m. – Louisiana vs. Texas State

11:00 a.m. – Louisiana vs. Texas-San Antonio

1:00 p.m. – Louisiana vs. Sam Houston State

Looks like a good schedule for pre-season. Like in football, you play everyone to see how your players play against others in a different environment. I wonder if the results will be posted. I don't imagine the press will be covering these. If someone goes, let us know how the team did.
