Do you remember having to park in and walk through mud to get to Blackham -- and brave 10 inches of snow, ice storms, 15 inches of rain, lightning, hail, etc.

"Have to study for a test" = lame excuse _

All students take a deep breath.................................Now quit studying so much, you guys are trying to kill yourselves. Who takes more than 12 hours a semester anyway? I spent most of my college career at Marley's and the Bulldog. I even wrote a paper once on the bar at Napolean's in New Iberia. Plus, one of my drunk friends went ahead and reviewed it for me.

That is why I live my student life by the slacker creed "Why do today what I can do tomorrow" lol

It was an exhibition game that meant nothing. I'll be at the game Tuesday and I am sure more students will be to because they heard about the blowout this week. DAMN I can't wait for Saturday!

so, for you to say....you never missed an EXHIBITION GAME AGAINST A NOBODY! i find that hard to believe...not to mention i also had 2 tests this week. so, unless you know how to find more time in the day for me to accomplish all of this and then go to a game i knew we would win by a good margin, then be my guest and let me know what to do.

    Thank you _

I was a student and never missed a game, including exhibitions and that was before there was such a fine facility like the Cajundome - which today's student doesn't fully appreciate.

My typical schedule back then - commute for 40 minutes, go to classes at 8, 9, 10, & 11 a.m., commute another 40 minutes, work from 1:00 to 6:00, commute 40 minutes to play intramural basketball or floor hockey, or attend a basketball game, brews at Bike Rack, Keg, JR's, etc., commute 40 minutes, study, do it again tomorrow. Then work on Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (by the way - it was dirty, sweaty, greasy hard labor - not sitting behind a computer or sitting behind a cash register and reading a book most of the time)

Some semesters I was fortunuate to schedule 5 classes all on MWF. Then I would work from 2:00 - 6:00 on those days and 6:00 - 6:00 on TuThSa.

I am now 46 and I'm sure that only a handful of students could keep up with me.

cajun1300 vs. "the rage cage" greco-roman style is the only way to settle this I'm afraid...

    Humorous observation:

We rip on athletes who lose their eligibility because they are too lazy to take care of business in the classroom.

We rip on students who don't blow off their studies so they can go watch those athletes.

    Nope, no disconneect there!!
