Haha. You're an idiot. Milhorn and Bazar would tell you the same thing this morning.

Of course you werent at any of the games-- so I will let you in on something-- UTA played better-- starting pitchers pitched well and they hit the crap out of the ball-- than anyone thinks. They hit every right hander that went out there-- some worse than others but every one. They didnt fare so good against lefties.
    1) The TEAM wins or loses-- not a single player
    2) Both the players you want to "blame" pitched 3 days in a row-- that is ridiculis-- and Robe should know better.

Give both of them credit for stepping up when asked if they could go.
Blame Robe- he decides who goes in or not-- or blame the team if you MUST blame someone-- but not the guys that went out for 3 straight days and tried to close the door and some pretty good hitters.

Edit: Not saying it's reason for panic. You have off games and we still did enough for 8 1/2 innings to win. Not faulting anyone but Milhorn and Bazar for this loss. Let's bounce back tomorrow and finish strong.

I'll say this, I'm surprised/impressed that any team that resembles a good-to-great rpi, we've looked fantastic. That's a good sign for the postseason. I think this team unfortunately coasts through the weaker rpi games. We just got caught yesterday not being able to close out the game.

Yes I know losses like this hurt us, but I REALLY like our chances against top-performing teams in the postseason, regardless of who we end up hosting/going play at

We've played 41 games and we already lost 5? That is pathetic. I'm so disgusted. I'm not keeping up with UL baseball until the CWS national championship game... and if we're not in it... it's time to FIRE ROBE. 5 losses and it isn't even May? We suck.
I think your sarcasm was well warranted and needed to put things into perspective… however, I am slightly concerned about our schedule not preparing us for post season. At the beginning of the year we were playing much better baseball than we are playing right now. It seems like this team has gotten used to what it takes to beat weak teams. I have an eerie feeling if we played Alabama again next weekend we don't win 2/3. I fully believe we are better then any team in the country outside of maybe Virginia, Cal Poly and Oregon State, which I think are our equals, but we are not playing our best brand of baseball right now. I am sure you guys will be critical of my post, but had we swept this weekend and held on yesterday I would still be saying the same thing. I think this team needs to forfeit the rest of the season (of course this is a dumb idea, I just think we would be better prepared for post season if we did this) and intra squad each other to get back in that competitive mindset they had at the beginning of the year. I think we will continue to beat the weak teams remaining on the schedule and will look well oiled to the casual observer, but to my naked eye we haven't played well lately despite winning a bunch of games and only losing a couple.

Monster hitting covers up LOTS of holes in your club.

Ours is obviously in the pen.

Guess what. We are not perfect.

The last time we went to Omaha, we lost several games down the stretch.

Metal bats didn't walk 2, hit 2 and throw a wild pitch "Have a nice day"

Look, I'm not hammering Bazar and Milhorn and saying they should not pitch again (sorry for striking a nerve laf1049). If it comes down to it, though, a 3 run lead in the ninth needs to be enough to get the job done. Maybe Robe made the mistake of putting them in. Maybe he was testing them for future situations. Blaming hitters for not scoring 9 runs every game is ridiculous though.

Blaming a college freshman for trying to miss metal bats is simply not being realistic. We will obviously agree to disagree. Bazar could have signed for six figures and be learning his trade anonymously in pro ball. He chose to be here. Now he's your whipping boy. Feel better?

An idiot he is not. The person you just dubbed as an "idiot" is very close to the game and has been for a long time. You would be fortunate to sit with him during a game to talk baseball and pick his brain.

You are simply misunderstanding his point.

This team is filled with winners… Sure Milhorn and Bazar would say the loss was on them… So would Jace, Leonards, Adams, and Harry… as well as anyone who played yesterday… That is the mentality of winners, they pick each other up and take full responsibility (whether truly their faults or not) because they always feel like they could have done more. I know we can't verify this, but does anyone think we wouldn't have come back to take the lead if we had another half inning to play? I have that kind of confidence in these boys… they find ways to win, and despite this slip up will continue to do so. RPI is out of our control, and although we will most likely be traveling for Supers, don't think for a second these boys won't turn it up a notch.

Very realistic. That's how you get recruited to pitch in division 1 baseball. If it was unrealistic, you would never have 19 year olds in the big leagues or freshman all americans.

"Boutte was great for us today," head coach Tony Robichaux said. "He kept a good hitting team in check for most of the game, and then (Matt) Plitt came on and did his job in the eighth. We just didn't get it done in the ninth and that cost us the ballgame."

I guess Milhorn and Bazar are Tony's whipping boys too. Relief pitchers have a job. Hold on to leads. It didn't happen. I am cheering for those two to bounce back as much as anyone. We will need them down the stretch. If we can't depend on the bullpen to hold a 4-1 lead in the ninth, though, we have some problems. We will not blow people out all postseason.

You obviously have some personal connection to Bazar because you take what I say about BOTH pitchers and only think I'm critical of him. I'm sorry if you are offended by what I say. I'm just not throwing this loss on the back of our hitters.

Dad04 is the father of one of our best ever pitchers… I think he understands what kind of pressure these young kids go through and they won't always be perfect. While I somewhat agree they didn't have their best stuff and were to blame for losing this game, I'll take their body of work over the course of this season any day of the week. Matter of fact, if their arms were healthy and rested, I'd pitch them both again Tuesday in tight situations because I surely haven't lost any faith in them.

Really? I don't want to be around when you turn on a player. BTW, I have never met either player you hate so much.

This is college baseball. Chill the hell out man. This ____ happens.
