Field conditions at SLU's Alumni Field unsuitable for Wednesday's
scheduled game; rescheduled date will be announced later

LOUISIANA La. - Wednesday's scheduled baseball game between Louisiana's Ragin' Cajuns and Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond at 6 p.m. has been postponed to a later date due to unsuitable field conditions at Alumni Field on the SLU campus that arose as a result of the heavy showers which have hovered over south Louisiana the last two days.

Both Cajuns head coach Tony Robichaux and SLU head coach Dan Canevari have agreed to reschedule the game at a date to be announced later.

Louisiana (12-23, 4-5 Sun Belt) is coming off of a 2-2 week last week which saw the Cajuns fall in two-of-three games at New Mexico State. Louisiana had extended its season-long win streak to three games before dropping the final two of the series with NMSU.

The Ragin' Cajuns will be back in action on Friday, April 11 as they begin a seven-game homestand at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field in a game with fellow Sun Belt Conference member Arkansas-Little Rock (18-12, 2-4 Sun Belt) scheduled for 6:35 p.m. The contest will be aired live on KLAF-TV 17 in the Lafayette area and carried on SportsRadio ESPN 1420-KPEL AM. Live Internet streaming will be available at http://www.weareradio.com.

The three-game series with UALR continues Saturday at 2 p.m. and concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.
