Meanwhile, Texas is trying to avoid the sweep at the hands of TCU ... The Longhorns lead TCU in Austin 1-0 T7th with one out and a runner at 2nd base.

The South Carolina - Auburn game (Game #2 of DH) can be seen on CBS Sports. The freshman right-hander Keegan Thompson of Auburn is a good one. South Carolina finally broke through for a run in the T7th ... but Thompson got out of the jam and Auburn leads 2-1 going to the B7th. South Carolina has really struggled with the injuries to its lineup lately.

Auburn had the bases loaded in the B8th with no outs ... and failed to pad their 2-1 lead. South Carolina responded with two runs in the T9th and Seddon came on to close the game for his 10th save. South Carolina will remain ahead of the Cajuns in the RPI for now.

Florida State and Wake Forest are in extras (10th) tied at 3.

Florida State wins 4-3 in 13 innings.

It's really dipped with south al playing so poorly. Last year we were a 3 bid league.

Seems like the Cajuns can't lose more than one or two games the rest of the way to have any hope of securing a top 8 RPI. I'm hoping for the best but am not very optimistic about our chances if we lose more than 5 total.
