  1. UL Basketball Brandon Mouton's greener pastures cut short

Last years final four had-I think-4 players from the state of Louisiana in the final four. This years had one.

In my opinion, if St Thomas More's Brandon Mouton, had stayed at Louisiana he could, have gone just as far or farther than he has at Texas.

NEW ORLEANS — A year ago, some Texas basketball fans were taking out their frustrations for what they considered an untimely NCAA Tournament exit on Brandon Mouton.

The then-sophomore struggled mightily in last year’s event, hitting only nine of 32 shots including a 4-of-13 performance in the regional semifinals when Texas was ousted by 11th-ranked Oregon.

That ate at the Longhorn swingman through most of his junior season, and Texas head coach Rick Barnes knew it.
