LAFAYETTE ? The University of Louisiana System has created a partnership with Pôle Universitaire Léonard de Vinci of Paris that will include student and faculty exchange opportunities across the system?s universities.

Representatives from the university visited the University of Louisiana at Lafayette?s campus Friday to meet with faculty and administrators. The delegation will continue its visits to all UL System institutions through next week.

Details of the partnership are still being worked out, but UL System students will have the opportunity to study abroad and pay the same tuition they would at home, said Brad O?Hara, UL System provost and vice president of academic affairs.

The university, within Paris? business district, La Defense, has three schools: engineering, management and multimedia.

?They have collaborations with industries in France that we can learn from,? said Mark Zappi, ULL?s college of engineering dean. ?From the research standpoint, international partnerships will enable us to secure funding from international sources.?
