Sweet! This is really great news for us now that the NOLA bowl will only invite Belt teams every 2/3 years. We'll have a guaranteed AAC opponent in a destination Cajun fans would actually want to travel to.
I'll give credit where credit is due. Nice job Benson.
And btw, this bowl drastically lowers our chances of ever having to play in the Belt's other tie in, the absurdly terrible Camellia Bowl which will be played in a run down 20,000 seat stadium.
It might be better than you think. I bring 18 to NO. I was looking at 5 to Shreveport and 1 to Mobile when it was still up in the air. I bet I could get all 18 to Orlando, or close to it. The weather outlook is potentially better, we can pile into a few vans/suvs, and there is much more to the destination than just football. That's what motivates my non-diehards.
11-12hr drive. I'm there.
I am so IN!!1 -- Only 1/2 hour farther than home game for me!!1
You guys are thinking too small. Our first Florida bowl game will be in Miami, not Orlando.
The Sun Belt Conference may have its fourth bowl tie-in set with a new bowl game in Orlando, Fla., according to a report on Monday.
