And the boudin was from Don's........After it come off the grill you can't tell where it comes from....I started doing this a couple of years back to see how it would come out. Damn good, a little extra flavor and crunch......

Picked up some bacon wrapped boudin from Heleaux's the other day and threw it on the grill. WOW! That was some good stuff. Right up there with Billys stuffed boudin ball.

Bacon wrapped boudin?!?!?!? That sounds too awesome to be true. I'm hesitant to try it out of fear I might implode from shear awesome.

It was absolutely awesome! There is no boudin skin. They just take the middle and wrap it in thick bacon. They can't keep it on the shelves. 100% AWESOMENESS!

Heleaux's don't make their own boudin, Kirk Martin Slaughter House makes it for them. They bring it to Heleaux's and they heat it in a rice cooker and package it. That's what I am told anyway...

Yes. Where did you live Kyle? My family is from that area. My grandfather lived just down the highway from Don's.

A good friend of mine lived across the street from that location and worked there making boudin for about three days. He may chime in on this one. The food was good there.

I use to park in the lot behind the store when I went to UL. Stopped in often for plate lunches. Miss the pork chops!

I am glad to see I am not the only one that was found of Comeaux's boudin. I use to have them ship it to me when I first moved to Indianapolis. Thanks for the memories everyone.
