Kirk Martin's.
Yeah Melrock...Comeaux's was great
The easiest way to make enemies here is to insult another man's boudin.
Not cool.
Let's just say that the boudin you were raised on is probably going to be the one you claim is the best.
For me that is Hebert's Meat Market (Clement's) in Abbeville, across the street from the old Clement's bush track. I spent many weekends over there with the horses growing up. For this fat little kid, it was heaven on earth.
Now, I have sampled lots of good boudin all over Acadiana, but unlike most of you, I don't like Best Stop. However, their SMOKED BOUDIN is un-freaking-believable.
This Thread should be renamed, Who has the Best Boudin? There is nothing in here about Hud and his contract!
I am going to show off on my boomerism here:
Can someone provide a link ---
Nu Nu's is my favorite.
Tie between Mike's Country Corner and Billy's. Billy's wins for having the boudin roll ups.
Seaux....I'm gathering that no one knows anything about the actual incentives?
NuNu's has won the boudin contest the last couple of years. My overall favorites are NuNu's, Billeaud's (in Broussard), Richard's in Abbeville, and Best Stop.
I am moving back to the area soon and as a sacrifice to my fellow man, I will volunteer to do an unbiased tasting of all available boudin and settle this controversy that is dividing the Cajun Nation once and for all.
I will require a "boudin expense account" in order to fairly judge all of the entries. Normally it takes about 1.5 pounds to fairly judge. I will only sample white boudin. (Boomer can do the red if he wants)
Now I am totally unbiased (even though I already know that Best Stop is the best) so this will be fair for all parties.
