To me the best boudin was at Comeaux's, if my memory serves me correct it was at General Mouton and Lamar. Not sure if they made their own or not.

Your memory is good ... as was their boudin and it was theirs! They had a great boudin business but it wasn't good enough to support multiple locations that they tried to do ... that location near campus was awesome!

Let's just say that the boudin you were raised on is probably going to be the one you claim is the best.

For me that is Hebert's Meat Market (Clement's) in Abbeville, across the street from the old Clement's bush track. I spent many weekends over there with the horses growing up. For this fat little kid, it was heaven on earth.

Now, I have sampled lots of good boudin all over Acadiana, but unlike most of you, I don't like Best Stop. However, their SMOKED BOUDIN is un-freaking-believable.
