    Yikes! They look pretty.pretty scary! The one furthest to the left looks ready to kill! Were they any good? Or were they also playing all high schools at the time? Geez, imagine those women hacking your 15-year-old daughter?

    Turbine, what was the earliest we used the "Bulldogs" nickname? Were we anything before then? If you don't know, don't sweat it.

    It seems that they had big problems finding competition. None of the local Universities, Colleges or even high schools had women’s teams.

    Thus UL helped establish women’s sports in Louisiana, as it was not long before the sports base we recognize today was established. Soon the high schools did offer women’s basketball.
