That is because he didn't have a chance in _______ to make into Auburn. My friend, you do have mandatory academic standards, and Wilford couldn't cut it in JC and he didn't graduate high school until summer of his senior year. He has no chance making into a four year institution. If he does, the NCAA should begin an investigation immediately!
When ar efolks around Lafayette gong to start holding these hish school coaches and principals accountable for the poor academic abilities of their stud athletes? While I believe it starts with the athlete and his family these coaches and principals are also complicit in allowing these obviously athletically talented but academically underachieving kids to continue to play ball and rack up victories all the while knowing they will not cut it at the D1A level if at all in college. This is not an isolated incident but an all too common trend in Lafayette. You may not be able to force a kid to learn but you sure can hold them to higher standards if they want to play ball or participate in any other extracurricular activity. Its time to hold the administrators and coaches accountable.
Exactly not.
If he couldn't cut it in the classroom, it is no one's fault but his own. Don't blame his high school football coach.
If people would start taking some accountability for their own failures and stop trying to find someone else to blame, our children would be better prepared for what life throws at them.
The problem is many of these high school students would do better if they were held accountable. If you care about playing football enough you will earn a 2.0 or a 2.25 GPA.
