During Xbox One announcement, Microsoft made it clear that Xbox 360 games won’t be compatible with Xbox One. Since then, there were lots of speculations on how Microsoft is going to address this consumer pain point. Microsoft could either build Xbox 360 emulator support into Xbox One or provide a game streaming service like Gaikai. Last year, Microsoft said that current network speed restrictions across the world is making the cloud streaming technology “too problematic” even though they demoed an experimental technology which would be able to stream Xbox games to Windows 8 and Windows Phone handsets at its annual company meeting. During a session by partner development lead Frank Savage on the Xbox One’s use of Windows technology at Microsoft’s Build developer conference, Frank confirmed that Microsoft is still looking through how to emulate Xbox 360 on Xbox One platform.
