Microsoft today announced that they are bringing Windows Universal apps to Xbox. Terry Myerson announced that they will be bringing this to developers in coming months. You can create one app on Visual Studio project, and use it across devices. Microsoft demoed Khan Academy app which is working with Microsoft for Xbox One app. The business logic, all the assets remain the same and the app just works across all the devices.
