24 fees for $850. THAT is why students were hesitant to add on more fees. $850 in fees added on to $2,200 worth of tuition. Like I said, I did vote for the new transportation fee with the hopes that parking and transit options improve and can be a part of university growth. But at this point, new fees need to be carefully considered because they're stacking up fast.
This is nothing different from when I was in school. The funny part is that tuition doesn't seem to have really gone up since that time either

For in state tuition...it's pretty cheap.

This was another great decision by our university and students. Parking is the biggest need for improvement.

I have to admit, I am ashamed that I am behind the times on tuition. I thought semester tuition was closer to $1,750.00 - WRONG!!!! Fall and spring for 12 hours is $3,084.00.....it was $948.00 for full time course load when I started in 97'. I had no idea it had come to that.....

Such is the case when "the great state of Louisiana" requires higher education to be pretty much self sufficient.

I guess I won't complain about my $200 per semester tuition back in the day.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but some of the "Student Union" fees were for building a brand new union, I think. So shouldn't those fees start coming down or be eliminated after a while?

Sidenote, our tuition will still always be the cheapest around.

Not with the cold hard cash the government is making on student loan interest right now...
