MATT AUTREY RS Freshman Center
Mikey Autrey has been around the coaching block.
Although coaching for 33 years, he is especially looking forward to his second time around at Opelousas High School.
Autrey was named the head football coach and athletic director at the school this year, but it is not his first go-around with the Tigers. It is here, however, that he plans on finishing out his coaching career. This is where he calls life, "home."
In 1977, Autrey took his first coaching job. It was at Breaux Bridge, and Autrey was there for seven years, with the last three years as the head coach.
"I think maybe I was a little bit too young. You learn from the experience, though," Autrey said.
