He enrolled late at UL. I heard through a friend he will walk on next year. He did complete the fall semester and will attend spring and summer.

Just talked to a friend of mine who knows Barrouse's situation through his involvement with the LHS coaching staff. apparently, UL has expressed interest in him. He thinks he may have also been looking at MSU and Northwestern. He also says it would be a good fit for the Cajuns because the guy leaves it on the field.

Just talked to a friend of mine who knows Barrouse's situation through his involvement with the LHS coaching staff. apparently, UL has expressed interest in him. He thinks he may have also been looking at MSU and Northwestern. He also says it would be a good fit for the Cajuns because the guy leaves it on the field.

A few things weigh heavily here.

McNeese-dad and uncle(Mark and Mac) were both prominent members of that football team in 70's-80's. LHS coaching staff, no real love for staff here at UL. Might have a bee in their bonnets because they believe Barousse was good enough to be offered here last year.

Northwesten State- one of his good friends and former LHS wide receiver Cullen Crochet is playing there. Possible coaching change there, and uncertainty in the qb situation all play big in that decision.

UL-We look to be solid at QB for a few years. Once Desormeaux leaves the two youngsters behind him look to be potent. It is 1A football, and as much as some poo-poo the appeal of 1A over 1AA...it is a reality.

All I know is this kid is a bad ass. If you are ever in a foxhole in need of assistance he's the kid you call. Rhineaux, Blake does leave it on the field, make NO mistake about that. It was no fluke he was named 5A player of the year in 2006.

I knew about the QB situation here, and was curious if that would impact his decision. I sent my buddy another text message to ask about Blake playing another position, but haven't heard back from him.
