"Make some noise."
The words are printed on a placard that sits on the desk of UL's vice president of advancement Ken Ardoin amid stacks of folders and paperwork.
"After Dr. Savoie started, I made these and have passed them out around offices on campus," Ardoin said of the placard. "I think it's exactly what we're ready to do right now."
The words come directly from Savoie. On his first day as president, he was asked about the university's reputation statewide compared to other state schools.
"UL has a quiet but solid reputation statewide," Savoie said. "But it's time we make some noise."
