Here is also a big difference with Yvette and Robe. Yvette was in her 40's when she left for LSU, also LSU did not have a very good softball program.

LSU is one of the premier programs in the country in baseball if not the premier with one of the premier coaches in the country, moving from Mainieri to Robe is like switching Bobby Bowden for Joe Paterno. Makes no sense. Also bigger than that Robe is in his mid 50's. Not that this is old, but he can retire if he wants. I hope he does not, but he has seen both of his boys play at the major college level and I am sure has had tons of opportunities to leave and has not.

So, one of my LSU a&m friends said that he has no problem with us achieving the #1 ranking because LSU a&m will just take Robe from us if they want to. ???

I would have normally just said go fly a kit. However, this has been done in the past. Remember Softball "Yvette"

These are the same people who casually love to boast about "but when Hudspeth leaves for a bigger program...." when talking about our football success. Whether or not they say they care.....they care. They can't stand that we are winning right now, so they use the "your coach is gonna leave" approach to make themselves feel better about their underachieving teams.

Robe aint going to LSU, his next stop is a rocking chair on his porch, with a cold beverage. Not to mention Paul Mainieri is not going anywhere either.

Lets hope his next spot is as the Cajuns AD.

I am the garden variety hater of LSU. I hope everything bad in the world happens to them and only them. Now this doesn't blind me to their success which is ever increasing. I can talk objectively about LSU sports if I have to. A true hater who drinks haterade by the ____ing gallon is a very knowledgeable person about what they truly hate. With that being said...they see us rollin'...they hatin'...patrollin'...they tryin to catch us ridin dirty. ____ LSU. I hear LSU's momma has one big titty and one little titty...and they call the _____ biggie smalls.

Hopefully Robe's next job is in the athletic administration side of things. Fundraising or something similar.

That is the logical move. Have Robe be the Associate AD for baseball and softball. Let him spearhead fundraising and assist in scheduling for both sports. Bring on Deggs as the new HC and keep this thing going. That would leave Farmer to handle football and basketball. Then bring in two full time fund raisers and call it a day.
