This is what I have seen on my afternoon walks on campus.
They are painting Foster Hall (one of the oldest buildings on campus). It looks very nice. I hope they move on to DeClouet Hall next (another very old building) as they will not have to scrape too much paint off of it as there is not much paint left on the building.
They are painting and water proofing H. L Griffin Hall, it also looks like they are re-roofing it.
There is a Man lift parked near Broussard Hall (Physics) and it looks like they might be getting ready to paint it also. It does not look like this equipment is for the Burke-Hawthorne renovation/expansion project
It looks like a good portion of the soffit and facia on Maxime Doucet Hall is in very bad shape and needs to be replaced.
I noticed some directional boring equipment parked next to E K Long Gym. There were some empty spools for cable conduit but I have not seen any excavation on campus.
They are continuing to repair sidewalks around campus with most of the work now being done in the quad. I have not seen much progress on this for a while though. If they don't get moving they will be caught by the start of school.
I looked at the press box during the scrimmage Saturday and noticed all of the facia on the stadium side of the press box had been repaired. Probably when they replaced electrical equipment last week.
When I leave for work every morning I hear the sound of weed eaters, leaf blowers and lawn mowers on campus. I have seen the grass trimmed off of the side walks and the general look of the campus is cleaner. I have peeked inside some of the buildings and seen that the insides of the buildings are very clean.
They have marked the practice field for the band and have set up a tent near the percussion building.
You can tell that school is close because I saw Indian Students playing Cricket in the parking lot between Fletcher and Rougeou halls. They haven't done that since the Spring Semester.
There is a project under design right now to re-roof E K Long Gym.
