DELCAMBRE — Kody Breaux always knew in the back of his mind that he was going to attend UL and major in engineering.

But there was no way he could have imagined that he’d get a chance to compete athletically for the university.

“It’s the school I’ve always wanted to go to because they have a good engineering program,” said Breaux, the pole vault specialist at Delcambre High. “But I never thought that I’d compete there.
