Biology professor joins liberal arts and sciences faculty
Richard R. Simons has joined Alfred University’s College of Liberal Arts & Sciences as a visiting assistant professor of biology for the 2008-09 academic year.
Simons completed his education with a Ph.D. in environmental and evolutionary biology at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He received his master of science degree in science education from Syracuse University and his bachelor of science degree in biology from Hobart College, Geneva, NY.
He has been a lecturer at the State University of New York (SUNY) Institute of Technology (IT), Utica, NY, since 2005. He also taught courses at SUNY-IT in anatomy and physiology.
