drop it 3,000 for every loss
I predict the usual amount in the stands (the I love UL football fans) and in the parking lot under the tents (let's eat and drink crowd, and by the way who's playing)....sad, but true. I hope I'm proven wrong.
This poll is upside down the below is above and the above is below.
I read that on Saturday, the defense sucked according to Gerald Broussard. He said the lack of passion and intensity was horrible and the offense was all over the defense. This is scary as usually it is the defense that is ahead in the early parts of the fall.
After last year's lack of defense, this is not promising. Then in today's Advocate it was reported that the practice yesterday was nothing to call home about.
I see the same old same old out of this group.
There's must be a formula and a bunch of stock phrases that go with stuff like fall camps and spring drills. I can't tell you when you're supposed to say what but if you follow more than one program through the newspapers, you'll eventually see all of them.
I especially like "We're ready to hit somebody other than ourselves" because it usually means it's about time for the first game.
Something about "tired legs" is another typical one seen in about week 3 of camp.
Once the season starts you will hear one of my favorite quotes: "We played pretty well. We just made a couple of metal errors out there. We will get that cleaned up for next week."
Yea right. You got blown out by 28 points not because the other team was better, it was because you made a few metal errors!
The reported attendance will directly correlate with the number of victories.
Whatever that number turns out to be, I predict that we will average about 26,000 fans at Cajun Field.
Now, how many of them actually go into the stadium, who knows?
