ABOUT THE 2008 College Football All-Name Teams™:

The 2008 All-Name College Football Team™ was compiled by a Panel led by California-based investment banker Dan McClory, a graduate of 112th ranked Eastern Michigan University (up from 116th in 2007!), and a two-way starter on his undefeated Royal Oak Dondero High School football team in metropolitan Detroit.

A four-year letterwinner and three-time captain of EMU’s NCAA Division I cross country team, McClory was a sportswriter for the Eastern Echo and The Ypsilanti Press (now defunct) who earned a BS degree in English with Journalism and Marketing minors.

It was during a Week One 2006 Saturday classic between Nebraska and Louisiana Tech where three members of what would become the 2007 All-Name Team battled it out that McClory decided to go national with his All-Name Team and the likes of Maurice Purify (WR), Zac Champion (QB) and Marlon Lucky (RB) for the inaugural edition.
