So which kind of fan sucks more?
The fan who went to the game but didn't cheer loud enough?
Or the fan who didn't go?
Public disclosure...I didn't go, but was advised by coworkers that I (and a coworker) were being too loud for the office.

Want a cookie? Glad daddy gives to the RCAF and buys season tickets. So do we.
But if his idea of showing support for his team is sitting on his azz during games telling others to sit down, then maybe he should've been sitting in the comfort of a box seat. This is the goddamn NCAA basketball championships, the big dance, if you aren't at the game to stand and yell for your team, then don't give ____ to fans who are there to do just that.
Thousands of UL fans travel to NO as early as the Thursday or even Wednesday before the NO bowl. I understand football is the biggest deal here, but our fans need to step their game up when other sports like basketball are on the biggest stage.
You could make the argument that we received as much, if not more national notoriety from this game than the NO bowl. As far as traveling for basketball, maybe we're just rusty. Hopefully we'll get a do-over next year.
Yeah but we also had weeks or months to plan for it.
How many people do you really think have the ability to take vacation from work 3 days before the date, be able to afford a $1,000 trip without needing to budget and save for it, be able to take their kids out of school without a valid excuse, not have any other commitments over the weekend, etc.
Creighton fans knew they were going dancing months ago. They didn't know where they'd be going but they had enough time to prepare.
This. I absolutely wanted to be in San Antonio yesterday. But with less than a handful of days to prepare, there was no way I was able to make it (both from a financial and a logistical perspective). I'm sure I wasn't the only one. Now if the baseball team makes it to Omaha, I fully plan on being there.
That idea is bull. Yeah, you bought your ticket and it's your right, but at the same time, don't be a jerk about it. You can make just as much noise sitting as you do standing. You can stand for big moments. If the section is standing, hell yeah stand up. But if everyone in the section is sitting except for you and despite your best efforts it's clear they aren't going to stand with you at that point in time, show a little bit of consideration and either move somewhere where you aren't obstructing someone's view OR everyone is standing, or have a seat and try again later. I don't know what the section was like; if most of the section was standing, then it's on him to stand and join in. If everyone but you and your boys were sitting, then be decent and pick your spots to stand.
I was in the Cajundome when the loudest thing in the arena was somebody yelling "Marty, you suck."
And they were winning. And graduating students. And doing it by the book.
But they were prolly standing when they yelled it.
We're a goofy bunch, us UL fans.
BINGO. Everyone else had sat down except the three or four people on that particular row. My dad kindly asked them to sit down at that time. He did it ONE TIME for the entire game. And people here make it sound like he was some grumpy fan not making noise and being quiet the whole time.
And to say that we aren't true fans because we didn't stand up for the entire game is one of the most absurd things that I've ever heard from this board. As much time and dedication that my family and I have put into this athletic program over the years, for anyone to claim that is clueless.
End of rant
