is this more irresponsible journalism with made up quotes or is CajunT just a blind homer who doesnt like any negative news reported publicly?

Actually I am a homer cajunboudin, never denied that. I think Bob Heist has covered all the bases in this article, interviewing a PARENT, COACH and mentioning that the doctor is a BIOMECHANICS EXPERT with a PHD, and not a orthopedic surgeon.
I’m sorry that I hurt Bob and your feelings. Can’t we just all get along?
Stevie P was going to call the coaches who are heading to Boca Raton today to see if Brignac was sick. That's what he heard and that's probably the reason why she didnt start game 2.
The UL softball team, still reeling from a series loss to South Alabama, was dealt another blow over the weekend.
Sophomore pitcher Ashley Brignac, who led the Cajuns with a 31-7 record and 1.38 ERA last year, will be out for at least two weeks after experiencing discomfort in her throwing shoulder.
Brignac suffered a slight tear in her labrum late last season and spent the summer and fall rehabbing the injury.

I'm surely not a doctor and I'm just thinking out loud here... but it seems to me that the tear she suffered did not and will not heal itself... and surgery will be necessary to repair the damage enough to allow her to pitch with no concerns of reinjury... as she has had to do all year long.
Maybe an orthopedic surgeon out there will read this and reply.
Get well for the long term Ashley.
