    Title: Winning cures all

Hey there, great article. I'm a Tigers fan first and foremost. But I really like to see the Cajuns having success as long as it isn't against us. I personally have no problem with UL becoming the known second best athletic program in the state. I've also come around to them being called Louisiana, as it is... it won't affect LSU in any way, we will always be LSU and the dominant program. I'd like to see the Cajuns become good enough over the long haul for a bigger conference to reach out to them and let them really take off... it will be good for the state. Geaux Tigers, and Geaux Cajuns now too I guess.

I have to agree. You win and you will dictate your motives without actually dictating them. Win and it falls in place.

I have my business in Lake Charles. I do not take the American Press, because they do this _____ all the time. They be-grudgingly cover McNeese. They are a cheerleader for one school only. They have no clue as to how many people from other schools, live in their service area and would buy their rag if they would cover all the Universities properly. The only school in the state that should get more coverage is their home town school. Or, any school that is doing well by reaching the post season. If I had the money I would run them out of business with a quality paper. Of course that goes for another paper, also.
    Geaux Louisiana!

We will lose Hud and probably Marlin eventually so the key will be who we hire next in my opinion to keep the ball rolling. We can not afford losing seasons.
Exactly. That is why we must stay on the admin's case. We are at a crossroads. If the admin makes the right moves it Gould be a game changer. If they do things the way they are used to and screw up or do it half assed it could set us right back where we started.

----I have been on the praise cycle for our Daily advertiser---Although I don't really care for USA today we get part of it ----The UL stuff is UL stuff and it is great coverage----BTW does anybody disagree?? I was floored with the game day football series and there is a hell of a lot to cover lately!!!

I started getting the advertiser to get the box scores as my girl plays high school basketball and we keep the boxscores and articles for scrapbook. I was pleasantly suprised of the UL coverage. About the article and Guilbeau's piece, it continues to amaze me the importance that people put on a good athletic department for a university. We are second banana not because of our awesome academics but because we are putting a winning product on the field. I am greedy though because I want both at this university to be outstanding.

Lake Chuck AP isn't the only paper taking notice that UL is the only team in the NCAAs. From the New Orleans Advocate.
