It's not official yet, but new UL golf coach Theo Sliman is slated to send his charges against a 12-tournament schedule during the 2008-09 fall and spring seasons. And, he'll get a break when it comes time for the Sun Belt Conference Championships.

The Sun Belt meet heads to Houston and the Cypresswood layout April 20-22, and Sliman and the Ragin' Cajuns will get a preview of that course on Feb. 22-24 when UL takes part in the prestigious All-American Invitational over that layout.

Sliman, the former Cajun captain who took over when Bob Bass retired after 18 years in the post, has scheduled a traditional stop for his first tournament as head coach with UL taking part in North Texas' Mean Green Intercollegiate Sept. 7-9 to open the fall season. The fall schedule also includes tournaments at Kansas, Memphis, Texas-San Antonio and La. Tech, the latter at the impressive Squire Creek course in Choudrant.
