CBS typically labels us as Louisiana. They did when the bracket was unveiled. I do not see a reason why this will not happen on Friday.

I looked tonight just for fun, both the CBS Sports and Fox Sports smartphone apps list us as "Louisiana-Lafayette".
La.-Lafayette is the current listing used by the NCAA, that is how we are stored in their records. They will change it after this current athletic season is complete (June), until then, in some cases, La.-Lafayette will be used in references to the NCAA tournaments.
I have a question. Does one single person on here know for a fact that it wasn't somone from the school which made the call to have the branding changed to La- Lafayette? Not no but hell no. The last time I checked Karl Benson explained that representatives of the university directed the SBC to address our school as UL-L. Not one single person on this site can say for sure it wasn't some numb nutted nimrod within the administration making this call. I guarantee you one thing. If they had some one, anyone with any stones reaching out to the networks & making any kind of effort AT ALL to keep the Louisiana name on the monikers the networks would do it. Why would they do it? Simple. Because UL is the only school from Louisiana in the tournament. Here's the formula guys & gals. Win, demand respect, get respect, win, demand respect, gain respect, win demand respect, gain even more respect. All three of those ingredients must be part of the formula for it to have any effect. Right now nobody from New York, or Connecticut could give a good hoot in hell what anybody from LSU had to say for one reason. They're on the outside looking in. I can't believe most of you guys claim to be college educated & are so freaking gullible when your own administraion has pulled your pants down & given you wedgies time, after time, after time.
That question has crossed my mind more than once.
Especially since it was Aaron Martin UL's own Director of Communications and Marketing, who offered up the -never before used, but now prevalent term "UL-L" on a silver platter.
Ironically Dr. Joseph Savoie has never commented on fixing this debacle.
So yeah when I saw how fast UL-L was adopted and who spearheaded it, I question who has the clout to make a media outlet change their use of Louisiana mid stream.
With no SID, I want to interview Aaron Martin
I really don't understand how ESPN or the NCAA can post brackets that have "Florida, Colorado, New Mexico, Kansas, Nebraska, Wisconsin......" and can't spell the word "Louisiana". How hard is that? It's just so aggravating.
GEAUX CAJUNS!!!
You know where I stand, I believe every faux pas with the name, the logo, the leopards logo, Lafayette this and that starts with Aaron Martin and his happy band in C&M. ESPN, CBS, Fox Sports all have multiple layers to their graphics and promotional/production operations. If the effort isn't being made to protect the brand, to showcase the brand, and ultimately to win and influence a few million folks along the way, then they aren't and have not been doing their jobs. Its not as easy as making one phone call, granted. But over the course of the last 7 or 8 months, something other than what we have now should have been accomplished. Referring to the school as the Lafayette Leopards is an insult. If you're Brand managers can't stop that from happening, they should all be gone. Besides, I think the school should hire IMG College Sports to market, sell, license merchandise, market partnerships etc. They already have a client list of schools, along with Churchill Downs as a client. They put their employees in the athletic department to partner with the school in doing all the things that our school can't seem to do. Look them up, IMG College. Like I've asked before, can we just burn the C&M office down and call it even?
