Beal must be really good, if we are going to get him. I am still try to catch up.
IMO-
I guess UL still have the same kind of problem when I was there as the U of Slow Learner or was it U Standin Line. I'll bet you lots of students does not know or care yet, about the history of the name change, I didn't know until my 2nd year at UsL. Students have to know first, if you don't know exactly what you want to be call, then how do you expect me to call your name correctly. That's my 3.14150... cents worths.

I was Downtown for something at 307, a couple of drunk LSU boys were in there. One of them yelled, "University of Slow Learners!!!"

To which someone in another part of the bar yelled out, "Learn Slower than Us!"

Talked with a couple of sources close to the program today, and UL has not talked with Beal and is not interested in adding him to the team.

Sounds like a one-sided deal.

  The next stop for former UL football recruit Louis Beal will not be UL.

Beal, a redshirt freshman defensive back at the University of New Mexico, sent an e-mail to The Daily Advertiser on Thursday, saying he was "coming to Louisiana." His high school coach, Vernon Brown, told The Advertiser on Thursday that Beal recently said he regretted his decision to pick UNM over the Cajuns and wanted to transfer to UL.

Here's the problem: There has been no contact between UL and the high school running back from Detroit who spurned the Cajuns for the Lobos before preseason camp. Multiple sources close to UL told The Advertiser on Friday that the Cajuns have not contacted and have no interest in Beal, who has not played this season at UNM.
