Direct correlation to the very positive season we are having???
It will be very interesting to see what his story is now. He had an opportunity here, but took the extra housing money from New Mexico and ran. Now it looks like he was mislead by their staff. I don't know how the coaching staff feels, but do we save a scholarship for him now? I wouldn't, but that's my opinion.
I'm still waiting to get more information from Beal. It's interesting to hear he would like to come to UL, if possible.
I don't know how this would work, even if we wanted to take him back, he is listed as a Transfer at UNM, which means that he is sitting out this season at UNM due to transfer rules. If he were to transfer back, and I am not saying that we would take him, just if, would he have to sit out another year.
This is very confusing. If he wants to come back I think the coaches have to consider it, remember, we are talking about a young kid who may be admitting he made a mistake.
Kids make bad decisions all the time. Doesn't bother me as much. It absolutely is a direct correlation to our season. He is seeing what it could be like especially with Fenroy done after this year that he could see the field. He's a bigger back and more physical and he could possibly be converted to OLB which is where we had projected him through his initial recruitment. If he's got a good work ethic, I'd have no problem talking with him. Heck, it'll be a year before he's eligible anyway.
has he played??????-if he hasn't then maybe he has 2 years left!!!!
No he has not played a down for us or UNM yet. I believe he is sitting out his transfer year this year, even though he never played for us either.
Someone may correct me on that, but that is my understanding.
I believe he is eligible to play this season because he never signed a letter of intent with UL and was previously at a JUCO.
When can a kid say "my bad" and return ---the answer to this is I have no clue!!!!!
