OnePlus today confirmed that its upcoming ‘One’ smartphone will be fitted with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. One Plus founder and chief executive Pete Lau, formerly an executive at Oppo, confirmed his company would be using the Sony Exmor IMX214 CMOS sensor. In a forum post, he explained the rationale behind this particular component: “After going through almost every single manufacturer and the latest models in the market, we felt that Sony offered the best wide-aperture sensors out there. We were confident that with the proper set of lenses and software optimization, our camera would take beautiful pictures in any situation.”...
