Ok, the "blitz" is over, but the "push" is still on. If anyone needs season tickets, they are still available.
No way we cannot sell another few hundred.
I beleive that the surge in Iraq was an increase of 30k----Maybe we call it the surge and hope for the best!!!!!
If the season ticket total is at or just above the 9000 mark and it is only the first of August, 10,000 is possible. With August 3rd being the first day players report more and more daily news will be out from the Louisiana Football camp and this will excite people as well as get those who bought season tickets to get their friends to do the same. I say the final total will be just over 10,000!
What was the fan number the NCAA placed on div I teams?
This is where it helps to get some Louisiana schools back to the field.
McNeese packed the house.
Any doubt Southern will do the same?
There are others we can get!!!
Family & Friends,
For those of you that did purchase UL football season tickets during the "blitz" I thank you for your participation. Before the campaign began UL could account for 4796 season tickets. Last Thursday night every team was to turn in the completed forms. When the meeting was adjourned 8500 Ragin Cajun fans committed to this year's football season, with promises of more to come from people that could not be contacted or did not have the authorization to purchase tickets.
After making a few phone calls this morning, I have heard that in excess of 9300 tickets have been sold. So there is still time for you to purchase season tickets.
Nearly 10,000 fans would like to see you at the games on Saturdays. Do not hesitate to contact me or the Cajundome to reserve your seats.

You know they Will Come, Just WIN is not like the Nancy Ragan's "Just Say No Program." In one instance it is all about an individual taking responsibility for their own action. In the case of a football program it is all about everybody taking responsibility for the team.
Some things that help a team to build a winning tradition. Winning often of course is number one, but what are the things that lead to wins? Number one above all else is a history of winning. That makes it all the easier to recruit players, money, and fans. If you have a history of losing, as the Cajuns do, then you need money, money, money. The money will get you the opportunity to hire a great staff to overcome your history.
What can we do as fans? About all we can do is go to games. By buying season tickets and drying up the best seats there is an added bonus of creating demand for additional season tickets. Think of it this way, if you can simply buy a great seat because nobody has taken it in a season package you are less willing to spend the money up front for a season ticket.
Fans in the stands? Can anybody actually say an active full stadium does nothing to help the home team? So full stadiums create a better opportunity for success. In addition what message does an empty stadium send to prospects?
Daddy saying just win baby, win. is a nice little catch phrase. We all know it will take everybody helping every way we can for this or any coaching staff to turn our football program around. A catchy little phrase on a message board is just that, but a butt in the stadium says so much more.
