Status meeting for the season ticket blitz will be tomorrow afternoon. I have sold 50 season tickets (2 sets of corporate tickets with a 25 minimum). That is $2000. I have also sold 2 corporate package individual game plans. Those are $10 each with a 25 minimum. That is an additional $500. Individual game corporate package tickets are $10 each while they are $8 each for the season ticket package. I also am awaiting for a few responses from other businesses considering the corporate plan. I have a fair amount of optimism on one of these. I have no idea how anyone else is doing. I will find out tomorrow. I do suspect that others who have been contacted need more time to make a decision. Therefore, I don't expect what is reported tomorrow will be the final no. If anyone wants to talk to me about this prior to tomorrow afternoon, call my cell at 337-739-7256 and I will give you more info.
Awesome job mike! Its great to see some work being done on the grass roots level.
Did you hit large oilfield companies like Franks, Baker, Knight, etc etc?
Great job Mike! I was out of State for most of the drive, but I want to get involved it the drive next year. I have a few businesses that I will contact tomorrow. They have bought season tickets in the past but I am not sure if they have bought in the recent years. They are some advid sport fans but will buy walk ups if they are not contacted for season tickets.
Thanks to all who have given of their time and efforts to make the 2008 Season Ticket Drive work!
I don't know how many tickets were sold due to the blitz. It was announced however that last year we sold 4700 season tickets. As of this evening, this year's count is 8500. Coach Broussard's team finished in third place, therefore he may have followed up on some of your leads. There are several other possibilities still out there as some folks/companies contacted are still considering participating. Therefore 9000 is a good guess for the likely outcome. If that occurs, we will have a 91% increase over last year. I bet we are the only school in the country with a losing record to have a % increase that large. A good no. of the increase came from the corporate 25 minimum plan. Many of these were donated back to the school. It will be up to the athletic administration to insure those are distributed to organizations that will bring people into the stadium.
