No doubt now is not the time to move the students anywhere. First the visitor into the end zones top five rows to diminish their sound. Then when the time comes the prime seats from the thirty to the thirty must got to the payers, the students next, and then the band.

On visitors, many big P five conferences teams spread the visitors to diminish their impact even more. I think this is fine, no more than a couple hundred people in any one section, then bands of ten to twenty.

Agreed. We do get in their heads sometimes and it is a home field advantage. Besides, people would hate paying for those seats. The sun is a _____ on that side of the field.

People pay a lot more to sit in the sun all over the country. They pay a lot more than anyone pays in cajun field

Yep, maybe thats why they dont have to worry about shortfalls to pay for things like scoreboards or chose between / defer vital projects.

Put in chair backs and they will sell. People like comfort, and good views, and 90% of our games are night or late evening. As others have stated schools all across the sunbelt, desert southwest sell plenty of seats facing the Sun. I seem to recall there was a similar 'we cannot do that' two years ago when the school started giving better parking to RCAF as well as seating. Yea we found out we could, increasing both season tickets, and RCAF membership.

Another thing to note, I am pretty sure that our start times for games will be moving to 7:05 so that should help with the sun. Also, we need much better lighting if that is the case. But man I love playing under the lights!

It was stated after last season that the games would be shifted to 7:05. I do not remember the source.

The "Red Zone" is nice for a small time program, but keeping payers from being able to buy these seats at premium prices is ridiculous. Put the students in the new end zone. There are RCAF members, myself included, who are pulling the load and paying for things who would like these seats. The "home field advantage", comes from added facilities and coaches salaries to make them stay. That goes a lot farther than college students yelling ridiculous things at the other team during the game.

I would agree with your point about the premium revenue for those seats if two factors existed. Number 1 being that the admin was willing to impose such premium fees for those seats and number 2 if their was a demand for those seats by paying customers. Let's face it most visiting teams do not bring enough fans to make it worthwhile. For most games those seats would generally go unsold and probably get occupied by squatters who paid for cheaper tickets. Might as well let our students (the future alumni and paying fan base) have those good seats.
