YouTube today announced it has added support for 4K resolution videos. In addition to 720p (HD) and 1080p (Full HD), videos now have a 1440p (Original HD) option in the Settings wheel on the site: Videos must of course be filmed and uploaded at a horizontal resolution on the order of 4,000 pixels for the option to show up on YouTube.
