I was told by a very credible source that the possibility of selling beer inside Cajun Field may happen as early as next year.

No 2009 will be different. It will be a dark brown ale with a rich body and color and a sweet chocolate-toffee like flavor; very smooth! No preservatives, additives and is cold filtered.
It will be watered down, like at the Tigue
It will cost 7 bucks, like at the Tigue
We will fall over ourselves trying to buy 5-6 at a time.....just like at the Tigue.
It will awesome.

I have changed my point of view on this subject. I came to the conclusion during last nights game. We do not need to sell beer at Cajun Field. Well, I will not be buying any if it is sold. I had to many in the parking lot before the game. Well maybe to many out of a funnel. LOL
This is like asking if we should win more games. Without a doubt, we need to sell beer inside the stadium. It's kind of silly to believe that people aren't all over Lafayette, having to make responsible decisions on NOT driving under the influence on Saturday night... if this is what the fuss is. Stop selling in the fourth quarter.
There is an economic component in beer sales that is irrefutable. There is another economic component in attendance. We move the cattle out of the parking lot and into the barn because they can keep eating the coveted hay we sell/serve in the barn. I know they ought to come into the barn anyway to watch the hog fight, the beautiful dancing sheep (and one extremely talented billygoat) and the musical roosters/hens... but serve us up some suds and keep drawing a bigger herd!!!
If it happens it happens! If not, que sera, sera!
Its a tired subject. Time to put it to bed!!!
