Should Beer be sold at The Swamp?

_ That $840,000 figure you used as an example earlier looks like a gross figure and doesn't appear to include the wholesale cost of beer, ice and so on. If you add additional insurance premiums to the cost of the beer, selling it might result in a loss.

On the other hand, I know for a fact that beer is sold at Tulane and U-Hou games so I feel as certain as I can be the sellers are not taking a loss on it.

In Tulane's case I don't think the university gets anything off Super Dome concession sales anyway. _

That number may be a loss but I did use modest numbers while computing the amount. I would think that if we average 20,000 people inside the stadium more than 8000 would get at least one beer. I truly believe if beer were to be sold at games our attendance would rise by 3000 per game.

What would attendance be like if you all were drinking 101 proof Wild Turkey?

i think beer would bring in alot more than 3000. you have more than that in the parking lot who wont leave because they are drinking beer. also, if it brought in enough money per year to get rid of one of the money games that would be worth it. then you could afford to have some 2 for 1's with lower bcs teams. maybe even some home and home with some pretty good ball clubs b/c you would not have to depend on that 2nd money game. i think it would be totally worth it, its part of our culture, we drink. at this state of the program i definately dont think it would hurt and it seems to work pretty good for basketball and baseball. i wonder what the baseball team would do without the beer sales revenue?

I think it would multiply the number by 6... it would triple from the massive party it would attract and the doubling on top of that would be ddoouubbllee vviissiioonn... regardless, it would look to those of us partaking in the festivities like a huge crowd of twins.

Alcohol is served in the "luxury" boxes, etc at Cajun Field too.
