Should Beer be sold at The Swamp?

When kids are forced to drink hard liquor in lieu of beer because beer is not offered that becomes a real problem. Forced is kinda crazy to use but we all know the sat. nite college crowd in south La.I heard that we made 65k at the NO Bowl In Laf-----The beer will stop in the 3rd period!!!!

Is there not a NCAA rule that forbids any type of booze being sold at a game? If not then it is stupid not to do it at Cajun Field. It would help with attendance.

I support having beer at CAJUN FIELD, but a good friend of mine (also a UL grad and HUGE CAJUNS fan) told me that "We are REALLY in sad shape if it takes serving beer to increase our attendance at CAJUN FIELD." From that standpoint I would have to argee. Besides, who knows what KIND of "fans" we would be attracting to games?? If it's just going to be a bunch of guys sitting around drinking beer and acting stupid the whole game, then I DON'T want it!!

I'm not looking at it as a way to increase attendance but the money that could be generated would be huge.

Agreed. When you look at it, though, there really aren't many college stadiums out there that DO serve beer for football games. I still remember Tulane games at the Superdome where their fans were always shouting obscenities or trying to start fights with us, and virtually all of them had beers in their hands. I WANT the beer, but I don't want THAT reputation.

Houston serves beer...the game was great and the beer was great as well lol
